Utilities varies $100-$250 I heat, and a/c my garage.
Phone $218 (3 phones)
Internet $50 Mediacom cable internet
Direct TV = $70 3 TV's
Water can be $50-100/month
Other stuff I would consider, when you are figuring how much you can afford:
for us,
1 car payment
1 boat payment
spend aprox $75/week on Groceries
Insurance = $135/month (3 vehicles, 1 boat)
I typically spend $50-100 month on house related misc exspenses (mowing, light bulbs, furnace filters, stuff like that)
School loan payment
Chit......now I'm depressed.
$100/month on Coors light.

but does your wife know what you spend on racing? My wife has not clue what it costs for my sons kart racing, or what we spend on the boating addiction. Its just better that way.
Regular Expenses:
Racing fuel = $470 per month (use approx. a 55 gallon barrel per month)
Race car oil change = $250 per month (approx. $125 per change and change every 3 - 6 races)
Race tires = $260 per month (average 2 tires per month depending on the volume of races)
Race entry fees = $500 per month (varies on how many people go with me)
Hauler fuel = $500 per month (average $250 every couple weeks depending on where I go)
Yes she does. For the most part between race winnings, advertisers (mainly my own CPA business, lol), and selling used race parts I have no use for, it cash flows itself during the race season.
