.

Water/Sewer/Electric: $110
Gas: $55 (budget billing over the year)
Garbage $20
Internet $40
Cell phone (we have two) $30 (we use a wifi based service/cell for calls/text)
SlingTv: Internet cable....$20-25 (depending if I have sports pack) and I don't use it all year.

I have no idea what ours are because my wife takes care of all of it, but I could tell you what I have for racing expenses every month lol

Wow that's cheap. I watch a lot of sports and need the sports pack for my Minnesota twins games. Otherwise I'd love to ditch directv

We just found we never really watched cable (beyond just background noise/a few shows...and sports). We cut after NCAA last spring...didnt look back. Sling has worked for my sports I need and will keep for basketball...have antenna a well.

Same with the phone....I'm in wifi all day at work and home....have data with my wireless, but don't have it on unless necessary (when i'm not in wifi). My life hasn't changed much since I made these switches...except I literally have about $150-200 more a month in my pocket.

Man, I live the idea of Sling but I need Fox and NBC sports.

Was just looking at that. My cable/Internet is up to $170/month. No chance I'm getting my money's worth.

If Fox would jump on the Sling train I'd buy that service in a heartbeat

Internet $30 (65/5)
Cell $98
Electric $37 first month in new house (had AC on for first 3 weeks)
Gas $4 first month
Water/Sewer/Trash/Lawn/Snow $155 (Association takes care of all of it)
Insurance $61 (Car and house)

$355 Total

And idk, it's messed up right now because of the new house don't have a great idea of what bills will look like over the year. But so far it's 40 til next summer for internet, 130 for phones, 20 for trash, 20 for gas last month, and electric was 50 this last time, 75 during our highest ac month in August. Not sure what gas will look like this winter, hopefully not too bad! So that's $260? Think I had budgeted 300-350 when planning for the house so when Internet jumps next year and we get winter gas bills averaged in, should be pretty good. Actually, our electric bill in this house has been lower than in our apartment. So that's nice!

45 dish network, 130 Verizon phones (2), 50 centurylink internet, $150 geothermo electric + 20 gas (5200' house conditioned space + 1100' heated garage + outside hot tub), 50 rural water, 0 garbage, 8 Netflix, 10 Spotify

I think it looks pretty normal. I really like the antenna/sling/Netflix combo we are using right now. $34/mo.

people are obsessed with cutting costs on utilities and other monthly bills, but going out to eat, cars, vacations, etc all are easier places to cut bigger money faster, IMO.

I'd rather cut stuff like cable so I can do vacations or nice dinners. Not that I'm vacationing on $100, but it adds up.
