***2024 Minnesota Vikings***

A couple of thoughts…

Last night is a reason I never though “tanking for Caleb Williams” was a great idea. Never have been terribly impressed with him. Or, for that matter, any of the seven or so QB’s currently projected to go in the top two rounds next year.

Can’t claim to be an expert nowadays, but the one QB to really impress me the last couple years was Drew Allar. But that’s a “we’ll see”.

Second—and…I could have mentioned this months ago.

When they drafted Jordan Addison, I couldn’t see him as the “perfect complement” to Justin Jefferson.

I kinda struggled with that for a while. Until I realized what he more likely was: the perfect replacement for Jefferson, should he go elsewhere.

That makes much more sense to me. An insurance policy.

Of course, nothing wrong with the two of them together. I’d just like to see a longer, more physical presence complementing either. But then…I’m greedy.
I’m not convinced tanking to get the first pick for any player is a good idea.

The Chicago reserve QB got bailed out by the one bad throw but not on the 2nd way underthrown for the pic. It was looking dangerous till the pick though.

If they lose Next week, I thnk they should trade whoever isnt part of the future. Maybe Cousins gets dinged up and they see what Hall has.

Couldn’t watch today but Hockenson is getting hammered on the postgame again.

There's a reason why Detroit got rid of Hockensen.... unfortunately we are now finding out
Exactly what they’ve pointed out on the call-in show tonight. He sold Kwesi on the belief he’s the best TE in the league and Kwesi bought it unfortunately.

He looked like it last year
No he did not at all. There’s never been a single moment where he is on the same planet as Kittle or Kelce. There’s a massive gap after those two, and there has been for at least two years. He looked good enough to be in that Mark Andrews second tier. But never close to the top two.

As a Viking fan since 1969 I remember losing to the 49ers in the NFL Division title at the Met 14-12 (I think) in 1970 season.
