***2024 Minnesota Vikings***

As an over 40 years Chiefs fan I find it amazing how many people now hate them because they are now having success after sucking for the majority of those years.

We finally after all those years have a generational quarterback and people just hate to see them win.
Blame Brittany.
You can add Jackson Mahomes to that too. Plus all the forced Swifty stuff is forced and over the top in my opinion.

I wouldn't say I dislike the Chiefs. Reid is an excellent coach and his teams have been fun to watch. And Mahomes is one of the most exciting players to watch, especially when he's "on".

But some people lately have grown sour of Chiefs simply because they seem to be on the plus side of controversial calls more times than not. Just like Kansas or Duke in college basketball. They seem to be the beneficiaries of questionable calls routinely. I don't think it has anything to do with having a generational quarterback.

No way Vikings tank. It's not in their DNA. You Vikes fans KNOW you'll do just enough to not tank. But I'm thinking it's a VERY likely possibility that the Vikes are 1-9 after their next five games. Still think they finish with 6 wins. Maybe haha
1-9 and go on a hot streak to end the season and end with 6 or 7 wins. That would be pretty typical Vikings.

Granted I am a Chiefs fan, but I get tired of people ******** about what they say are questionable calls. The one in the playoffs where the Bengals player shoved Mahomes out of bounds was not a questionable call, nor was the pass interference against the Eagles, hell the DB admitted he grabbed him.

Calls go against the Chiefs all the time, like the horse collar call that was wrong in the Jets game, but people want to point to last pass interference call against the Jets to say that the Chiefs get favorable treatment.

I agree... the chiefs do have some bad calls go against them. But it just seems overall they get the 50/50 call more times than not, especially in key situations when the game is on the line. Like I said,, Kansas and Duke get the same treatment. It seems the better the team, the more likely a team will benefit from 50/50 calls. That's the reason why some people don't like the chiefs more so than the chiefs having a generational qb.

I'm a Bears fan, and we suck major ass, but I feel very confident in Teven Jenkins making the Vikings defensive line his ***** this weekend. The Bears are a much better team when Jenkins is on the field,

Here's the thing, When you are a better team, with superior talent, you are putting the other team in more compromising situations. Are you probably getting more borderline calls? Absolutely, but it's more of a game of percentages than anything else.

My Bears aren't getting a lot of borderline calls. Why? There is no borderline when you are simply getting your ass handed to you on every play.

Question for Viking fans: Is there an issue with the turf? Both Kelce and Jefferson get injured on non-contact plays. Has this happened before or just a freak coincidence this last week?

Coincidence, I can’t recall a lot of injuries in US bank stadium.

I don't know, there have been a lot of people complaining about injuries due to turf in general

A couple of thoughts…

Last night is a reason I never though “tanking for Caleb Williams” was a great idea. Never have been terribly impressed with him. Or, for that matter, any of the seven or so QB’s currently projected to go in the top two rounds next year.

Can’t claim to be an expert nowadays, but the one QB to really impress me the last couple years was Drew Allar. But that’s a “we’ll see”.

Second—and…I could have mentioned this months ago.

When they drafted Jordan Addison, I couldn’t see him as the “perfect complement” to Justin Jefferson.

I kinda struggled with that for a while. Until I realized what he more likely was: the perfect replacement for Jefferson, should he go elsewhere.

That makes much more sense to me. An insurance policy.

Of course, nothing wrong with the two of them together. I’d just like to see a longer, more physical presence complementing either. But then…I’m greedy.
