***2024 Minnesota Vikings***

Kwesi is in over his head for his job. I imagine he will get one more draft and off season to prove himself. Wilfs will have no issue cutting him loose if he doesn’t succeed.
I’ll give you odds on this. You can’t make the comments the Wilfs’ did prior to his hiring and then cut him loose after two or three seasons.

Can they really be any worse than what we're already putting out there?
First, that’s the alarming part.

Second, when Booth got healthy and played last year he was horrible. Small sample size but he got destroyed.

Of course you don’t want to write guys after a year, but it can’t really be much less encouraging.

I think Kwesi made a great head coach hire.

I think he has been horrible at most of his other GM duties though.

Chiefs have found better talent in 6th and 7th rounds than the Vikings did in round 1 and 2.

Pacheco would be RB1 on the Vikings.

To be fair, majority of late round draft picks don’t pan out. There are always exceptions (Hi Purdy), but generally speaking 6th/7th round picks are fighting for a roster spot or practice squad for that season. Teams are taking “flyers” hoping one will be a good pick

I hope you're right about KOC, but he's made some really dumb in-game decisions. JJ, Cook and Kirk bailed him out of some of those decisions last year. His clock, TO and challenge management is bad. And when he explains these things, it's a little alarming that he doesn't seem to get it.

Last year at the end of the half at Buffalo they had 3rd and short around midfield. He calls for a low probability deep shot. Then they don't get it on 4th down, and the Bills have time to easily get a FG. When he was talking about it later it was like he seriously didn't see the difference in the odds of success in using both plays to just get the first down vs. leaving yourself one chance after the deep shot. And this week the trying to call for a play at the end was a dumb mistake. You 100% clock it there, no questions asked. By running the play you're getting max three plays anyway, so clocking it probably doesn't even cost you a play.

I think he's a pretty good offensive play-caller, and I like his demeanor. But it's easy to be calm and collected when your players are pulling out every close game. Now that they've hit some serious adversity let's see how it goes.

You forgot Kwesi's role: worst GM in all of sports. You could say he's the best at setting a team backwards.

I don't know if I would go that far, but he sure does need to start seeing his plan come to fruition.

What’s his plan?
Rebuild the defense and keep a potent offense. Obviously Cine and Booth are a nightmare start to that, but they have found some promising mid round talent.

QB of the future he needs to figure out. I don't think Jaren Hall is out of the picture as a possibility and if this season keeps going down the crapper, a dinged up Kirk can be sat to see if Hall has potential. Otherwise draft a QB next year, but it'll be a crap shoot on whether you make the right pick.
