***2024 Minnesota Vikings***

"The NFL does not allow teams to deal picks not under their full control, so the Jets' first- and second-round picks will essentially be held in escrow for the entirety of the 2023 season. At the end of the year, Green Bay will get the Jets' second-rounder and Gang Green will officially own its first."

I wonder what the reasoning is behind that if a team is willing to take the gamble. Especially in a case that is so clear cut.

Yes and Cousins has been around long enough to know that and just call it on the field.
I’m put that on Kevin O’Connell. He should had been yelling in cousins earpiece “Spike! Spike!” Instead he is trying to send a new play to Cousins

Doesn’t even matter really. Still had a handful of opportunities to win

"The crowd at U.S. Bank Stadium was so loud that quarterback Kirk Cousins couldn't hear coach Kevin O'Connell's play call, both Cousins and O'Connell said afterward. A full 23 seconds ran off the clock as Cousins tried to hear O'Connell, and eventually just decided to call a play on his own."

That doesn't add much against the argument that Cousins is robotic. He's been in the league this long, can't hear the play call, but doesn't have the common sense to spike the ball, because he's waiting to hear what to do?

We don’t need anymore WRs. Need to draft OL or DL.
Both. Both lines on this team suck.

Vikings have had a **** OL for a full decade now and will never accomplish anything until that's fixed. Drafting a new young QB won't help either, 'cuz they're just going to get killed by that line as soon as they play. They could draft Caleb Williams and make him look like Zach Wilson.

Cousins has a no trade clause.
I just can't seeing him agreeing to be traded to the Jets for 1 partial season

Again you spike it. Dumb by Kirk and another case of dumb game management by KOC.

When it is all said and done, Kwesi Adofo-Mensah may end up being the worst hire in the history of the Vikings organization. His drafting has been awful (Addison fell in his lap), he got schooled in draft day trades (moving down 20 spots in 1st round and NOT getting an additional 1 to do so), hasn't resigned JJ, is going to let Kirk walk while having ZERO plan at the most important position in sports beyond the next 14 games, and he gave up a 2nd rounder and $17 million per year to a TE the same year that was one of the deepest TE drafts ever. I have no faith that he is the guy that should rebuild this team if they go into rebuild mode after this season.

Kwesi is in over his head for his job. I imagine he will get one more draft and off season to prove himself. Wilfs will have no issue cutting him loose if he doesn’t succeed.
