***2024 Minnesota Vikings***

Vikings are using up all their luck in the regular season. I'm guessing they'll get beat in the first round of the playoffs.

At this point, who cares if they are actually good? Just enjoy a season full of exciting games that the Vikings have managed to win. I’ve gotten a lot of joy out of them this season.
I think it was week 7 I decided I'm just along for the ride. At this point, it really doesn't matter to me. No matter what happens this season, it can't be worse than what happened in '98. I guess I go into every game not expecting them to win. During the game, I keep thinking, no way they are going to win. But then, at the end, they win. The Defense is really frustrating at times, but all in all, they are actually a pretty fun team to watch most games.

Go all the way back to 1960, review all the seasons and tell me when the Vikings had any luck to propel them to a Super Bowl victory. I won't be surprised to see them bumped first game of the playoffs, but I also can't believe what is happening this season. At some point you just have to hope that the luck you are having can carry you.

Don't get me wrong, I don't see any way that luck overrides their Defense in the playoffs, but when you are a Vikings fan, you have to see the little things and use that as hope.

If the Vikings win @ Green Bay next week...

*They would keep hope alive for the 1 seed if the Saints won @ Philadelphia. An Eagles win would clinch the 1 seed for Philly.
*They would clinch no worse than the 2 seed if the Raiders won vs. San Francisco.

So wins next week by Philly, Minnesota, and Vegas would make the Vikings locked into the 2 seed no matter what and could rest starters for Week 18 @ Chicago.

And sweeping the Packers for the season would be good times

That would set up a ‘Don’t care if we lose’ vs ‘Trying to lose’ scenario and a likely unwatchable game.

Yeah Kirk has taken a lot of hits. He gets a lot of **** but he's been tough in the pocket this year and made good throws when taking hits
Agreed. I know he's got his deficiencies, but this has been a solid year for him, and only the most myopic of his detractors will deny that. He's top 5 in passing yards per game as well as passing touchdowns, while also getting sacked more than anyone not named Justin Fields.

He has thrown more interceptions than usual for him but it’s worth it as he is taking more chances to JJ, etc resulting in some big plays

I don't know how many 4Q comebacks and game-winning drives it takes to convince people. There's nobody else available out there who's better. At some point, it isn't all luck anymore -- it's skill.
