I'd say he has a lot of insensitive to keep his weight down. Next year he'd have to beat Ech to get on the mat and the following year he'd be squeezing his brother out.
Casey is taller but 65 feels like a lot for him. He wouldn’t be able to bully kids as easily would he?
What if Ech goes back to Cuba, Swderski desides to RS, Paniro decides to transfer, or someone gets injured? You are jumping way ahead and worrying about stuff that may or may not be real in 8 months. We have no idea who’s going to stay, who going to transfer in, etc. All I know is the coaches will try to get a team that can win it next year. Let’s see how it plays out this year first.
I’m not saying Ech is going back to Cuba. All I’m saying is a lot of things can happen from now until next fall so it is silly to discuss scenarios that are highly unlikely to happen like Evan bumping up to 141 or Swiderski going up to 165.
Not 100% sure but I thought he was Steve's kid. Either way, hope we're after him. Only a sophomore. Though after I posted, it seams Pearson pinned him earlier in the year. No idea if it was close and got caught or how it actually went down.
That match went to OT tied 1-1. Pearson got the TD straight to a fall in the overtime, so it was certainly a close match. Hope he’ll be a cyclone.
Your post was full of scenarios LOL I'm just pointing out that if Ech is gone so isn't Yonger. They are going out together they have said it multiple times
Colby and evan who graduated a few years ago were Steve's sons, Jake is Dan's son. It was an overtime match 1-1 at the time of the pin. I think we are recruting Pearson, as well. I would guess he would be a 133-141 in college. Not sure how much Knight will grow but he would be a good get.
By your logic, let's just never talk about the future ever again! Yeah a lot could happen, but guessing about lineups next year is fun and it makes a heck of a lot more sense to talk about it, assuming guys are here rather than what if they left.
I seem to be in the minority of this, which is totally fine. When I look at Chittum I've always thought he looked like a big 57. To me it doesn't seem like 65 would be a major change. But I trust most of y'all more than me so who knows!
It was posted in one of the threads already, but Knight had an Iowa Wrestling shirt on before the finals match.
It also sounds like Pearson is most likely heading to Ivy League.
