NFL: ***2023 San Francisco 49ers***

I feel bad for Lions fans and DM, but yippee skippee, Brock!
Agreed. I posted in the “rooting for the Lions” thread that if the Lions were literally playing any other team, I’d be rooting for DM and the Lions.

I am rooting for the 49ers since the media and fans hating on Purdy will literally have nothing to knock him on if he’s a Super Bowl QB.

In that regard, the game has been about perfect so far. Niners big comeback win w/ Brock leading it and David balling out at the same time. Let's see this result hold and celebrate.

I generally like Campbell’s style and I know they are supported analytically but you give up an easy chance to make 3 possession game and then another to tie. Maybe im old school, but I just don’t get it

Campbell has given up six points. Lots of second guessing will be done.

You are making assumptions that 45 yard FGs are automatic.

First decision? Great call. They have a 62 percent success rate when going for it with the lead and they were dominating like they were today in a small percentage of those tries. We are talking complete LOS domination, momentum, with a QB that was making his reads. They go foe it, with the right play, ans a watchable ba was dropped. It happens.

On the 2nd? Different set of circumstances. They didn't have the lead, they were behind, on the road, with a the momentum on the other side. While also inconsistent, the Niner D had shown signs of life. In that situation you gotta try the FG.

I'm sure the public will lump them together, but I don't think those calls were remotely similar. He made one good call and one bad. Unfortunately for them neither worked out.
