***2023 Ryder Cup***

Yeah. Or maybe Rickie with Thomas

I mean, we’re really in a tough spot. Kind of no strategy now but to pray

Zach does a LOT of praying…. that hasn’t proven to be of much help so far.

Might have needed to practice more than pray, but might be too late for that.

I can’t believe he’s throwing Cantlay and Schauffele again after getting stomped by freakin Matt Fitzpatrick

I see ZJ is now playing their performance on the sniffles. Epic leadership stuff here.

The crazy high rough to negate American advantages is something. I watched a tournament at this course earlier this year, and the course looks a whole lot different now. Not saying that's unsportsmanlike. Just that I didn't know that they'd do things like that for home field advantage.

I love all the complaining about ryder cup captains. At the end of the day, you gotta play well and step up your game.

You want to win? You eagle 18, you chip in, you bomb in puts, you stick it to gimme range.
The whining about captains picks is so annoying too. Like Lucas Glover or Keegan Bradley would have won anything

They did a ton of course work to make Hazeltine a big US advantage as well.

I think that's overhyped. Almost all tournament courses these days have serious rough.

A friend of mine played olympia fields the day after the BMW last month and his group lost balls in the regular rough (with a forecaddie!). That's the same course the day before Hovland shot 61 with a 28 on the back nine.

I'm not sure there's much in the world of sports that shows the difference between pros and hacks like me than a pro golfer hitting out of thick rough. The fact they can get the club on it and advance it in some of those lies abosolutely amazes me. You could give me a dozen hacks and I couldn't get it out.

Yeah, I have pretty good swing speed and power, and the fact that some of those guys can rip through that stuff and still hit it a nice, high 220 yarder is ridiculous.

About what time will morning session be wrapping up tomorrow? 4:30ish? Deciding if I should get up in the morning or not. Might be up anyway.

Sam Burns had no business on this team and Rickie should have stayed home too. Can Young not being on the team was the first sign that ZJ had no clue. Also, go look at how each captain handles their pairing. Rookies didn’t just Hager out out there with who they got along with. They went out with experience to guide them. ZJ just threw Harman and Homa out there to figure it out in their own

This is the first Ryder cup in Europe that I can remember that they didn’t slow the greens WAY down to get an advantage.

Burns had a better year than Young. That's just a fact. Young didn't win a single event. Burns won the match play. Young didn't qualify for the tour championship. Burns finished in the top 5. Young may have more talent but it didn't translate into a better performance.
