***2023 PGA Tour Thread***

Someone needs to conduct a welfare check on Rory. That guy learned that loyalty to your employer is stupid in the hardest way possible, I think his LIV offer was speculated to be north of $500 million.

In looking at Twitter it looks like none of this was communicated to PGA players. They learned this morning as well. Brutal.

I'm curious how this effects all of the charities associated with PGA Tour events since this new league will be a "for profit" league.

Is it that bad for Rory though? They effectively killed LIV and now are going to get paid more. It's not exactly the outcome you'd think he was aiming for, but it's close.

He admitted as much that the stress of being the poster boy for the PGA Tour vs evil LIV Golf took a toll on his mental health, and the fact that he missed out on hundreds of millions of dollars, I'd say it's not ideal even while still being a multimillionaire who plays golf for a living.

Imagine being one of the young guys that didn't jump to the LIV, seeing some of those LIV guys making 9 figures and being able to just come back to the PGA. If they don't get a FAT bonus out of this merger, they will deservedly be furious

They could have jumped if they wanted to.

Are all the PGA players going to lose their sponsorships now that they are getting blood money from the Saudis?

So what happens in this new league if players speak out against Saudi interests or beliefs? Do they get suspended because they are now merged or is it still under the PGA's pervue to address?

Will there by congressional action on this? I’m not a lawyer, but could this be an anti-trust case?
