2023 Cyclone Volleyball

I was bad luck, they played poorly when I watched so shut it off when UH tied it at 14. Turn it back on and see were up 16-14 in a challenge. Immediately shut it back off

Morgan had 7 kills. I've really liked her choices on that past few games. I only saw one bad one, late 5th that was passed too close so she took a chance.

Really good win on the road against a ranked team! Snapped Houston's 8 match win streak, according to the Big 12's website (which hasn't updated standings to reflect today's matches).

KU knocks off BYU at Provo in 4 sets. BYU’s first home loss this season. This after KU barely split with ISU in Ames last weekend.

ISU now up to #31 in current VB RPI. Interesting to note that KSU, who swept UT last week at Manhattan and currently tied with ISU in B12 standings, is #57 in the RPI and by that number, is on the at large bubble although I think they are a near lock to get in with the UT match win.

ISU finishes the season with two home matches vs UC and UCF. If they win both of those matches, ISU probably ends up in the high 20s for RPI and likely finishes in a 4th place tie in the conference behind UT, KU and BYU.

We have dinner plans so I'll not be able to watch live tonight (11/22) vs UCF, but this has been a great season and I'm hoping they finish the conference schedule strong at home. We really only have one "bad" home loss this season, namely Oklahoma.

I looked up UCSB since they also beat us in Ames, but they're 27-3 and their losses are Oregon (#6 at the time), Drake and UC Irvine (go 'Eaters). I thought it was a bad loss at the time! Go State!

Up 2-1 on some unusual plays.

9-4 ISU at a timeout by UCF. Neither team hitting well, I’d say. We’re just having more luck.
