2023 Cyclone Volleyball

Oh, gosh. At a conference in Pittsburgh this week and completely forgot about this match. Hmmm.

They could not execute in any phase of the game. I have no idea what happened it was a SS of highest order.

21-9 is not how to start a match.

kind of knew this wasn’t going to be pretty. Hopefully some adjustments tomorrow.

Side note: Even with their missions, this BYU team looks OLD. Couldn’t find their birthdates online either.

ISU gets swept again tonight. Did not watch Thursday’s match but caught tonight’s. ISU was competitive for the most part but they lack that high quality 3rd OH behind Duckworth and Gonzalez. Hatch was ineffective and replaced by Wachholz after Set 1 which did help. BYU is very good and if they avoid Wisconsin and Nebraska in their NCAA region, they could end up in the Final Four.

Watching some of BU/TX last night showed the gap in talent between them and ISU. We just don't have the hitters/servers/diggers they have. They play a lot faster as well.

Why can't they reschedule the OU match so it doesn't conflict with FB?

20-16 us in the second. So. Many. Points. Sigh.

8-3 in the third. A little more life in the plays would be good.
