***2022 US Open Golf Thread***

Saw a tweet from a golf instructor that had been walking the course, and he said anyone over a 10 handicap would probably struggle to break 200. I think that's a stretch.
That's an average of a tad over 11 per hole. With penalty strokes, rules violations, crowd pressures (I'd be worried about drilling a gallery member in the temple at the tee box) putting it off fast greens , etc, I could see doing that. I'd be hoarse from screaming FORE by the turn. But if I could get just one par.....

15 guys under par at this point in the tournament is WAAAAAAYYYYY too many for a US Open.

I actually think this is about perfect. They have 156 guys to pump through the course so it can't be at it's hardest Thursday and Friday. No one is better than -3 at this point and there're plenty of bogeys out there. Hard just for the sake of hard isn't fun to watch either. I think the balance right now is really good.

Yeah, those -3 guys aren't likely to do that all four days. Winner at the end will probably be -8 or something like that, unless someone gets hot.
