***2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs***

Oilers once they had the lead, should not have chosen to go into pond hockey mode.

Play some D Oilers you had a 2 goal lead.

Mike Smith's positioning in this game has not been good either.

Complete goaltending meltdown by Smith after he threw that fit after giving up the goal that made it 4-3. It became 3 goals in 5 shots in 5 minutes, and the Oilers were lucky to simply extend it into overtime.

Only thing I might be concerned about this for the Avs is might be too much time off. Sounds like it will be anywhere from like 8-11 days.

Yeah, this. It took the Lightning the better part of 3 games to get their heads back into the playoffs when faced with the same scenario. They're still going to have to take at least 1 at MSG if they plan on going for another Cup.

Lightning dominated that first period...at a bar so no sound, don't have to hear "the kid line" for the 400th time

Dominated, but up 1. How many times have we seen this playoffs where a team survives a period and then completely turns a game around? If I were the Rangers I'd feel good about being down 1 after that period.

Rangers made a big mistake allowing the Lightning to get back into this series. Could have basically had this series on ice last game, but gave up the 2-goal lead, then the Lightning tied it up with a dominant performance today. They now have all the momentum.

Yep not wrong. Got a little nervous those last 6-7 minutes of that 2nd period when the Rangers went full attack mode, just couldn't buy a goal.

Check out the crowd leaving the game. Ranger fan decks Lightning fan who never saw it coming.

1. That wasn’t a fight; that was felony assault.

2. Guy recording the video chirping “he’s dead” over and over again is just as big of an ***hole.

There’s just something “extra special” about a particular segment of Yankees/Rangers/Knicks fans. I’m a native New Yorker who grew up in a Mets/Islanders family, and all I can do is shake my head. Props to the Rangers fans that stepped in to check if he’s okay and to make sure other fans didn’t walk over him.
