I love the NHL playoffs.... but the system is 100% broken. Take the Wild vs Blues for example... they should not be playing each other in the 1st round. The Wild should be facing LA Kings and St Louis should be facing Edmonton. The whole point of the season is racking up points for playoff position... not to play division rivals.

That's true. Minnesota teams always flounder in the post season. It's as a sure thing as death and taxes.
My wife won't let me watch the Stars playoff games with her.

NGL, this is really why I prefer the Stanley Cup Playoffs to the NBA Playoffs. That and there’s always the threat of a game going 3+ OTs.
Just a passive NHL fan. Question- is there a stat out there for how many less penalty box visits are called in the playoffs vs. the regular season?
I'm sure there is, and that's why Google was created. What I'm saying is I'm sure someone out there does keep those kinds of stats if you're willing to look for them.
