2022 Recruiting/Transfer Class

Green transferring to Iowa State would be like landing a 5 star, blue chip, one-and-done, McDonalds All-American. The guy will step on campus and be capable of averaging 15+ppg shooting 40+% from three and 90+% from FT.

For those that know better what kind of defender is he? Four years in UNIs program with several of those years with his Dad as his coach Id think he is dialed in on defense.

He knows what he's getting into, so he must feel he can do what TJ wants defensively if he comes here.

Not sure I understand this one, but maybe getting back ups to our back ups in place. From the transfer thread

I’m sure they contact nearly everyone to see what the pool looks like. You have a recruiting/scouting director for those reasons.

I love it when a new name pops up and someone says “I don’t understand this one”. Cause you know, you don’t understand because you aren’t paid to coach high major basketball for a living and don’t have a clue what any of these players bring to the table.

I mean, do you want all discussion here to be

"Welp, don't know anything about this player so lets wait and see, as i am not a paid member of the staff that means i cannot possibly form any opinions given what is available to me"

Because that sounds very boring

You can just not participate in these threads if you don't want to see people do things like talk about how they feel about players.

I’m always cautious of guys looking at their third school.

If we are basically getting their services for one year, I don't care if it's their 4th school. Charlie Moore who we play tonight is on his 4th school and without him they are not playing us tonight. I mean these grad transfers are hole fillers. Not long term guys anyway.

This guy averaged 15.9 points per game as a junior at CSU and shot 40 percent from 3. That dipped down to 32.5 percent as a senior.

In a shortened season against low major conference only opponents.

But now that we play defense, 3 and D guys have much more value.
