2022/23 Coaching Staff Changes

I suggest Tony Koehling, the offensive coordinator and Off line coach for Iowa Western. They won the JC National Championship while running the ball effectively and giving the QB time to be in the pocket. CMC will probably again promote from within the staff, but somebody from a JC may have a shot at the job.

Is there any truth to us pursuing the UNI Offensive Line coach / OC to help with offensive line? Thought i had heard that somewhere but maybe it's untrue.

Heard this name pop up recently: Jeff Jagodzinski. Wisconsin connections to someone in our department……..

Both Markuson and Jagodzinski have bounced around alot and have been primarily OL coaches with short stints as OC at small school. Is that a good thing they haven't been anywhere very long and also haven't advanced beyond being primarily an OL coach?

Jagodzinski was the guy who had a couple good seasons with Boston College in the late '00s and was fired after being warned not to interview for the NY Jets job, but doing so anyway. Real weird firing at the time. I lost track of him after that but it looks like he's bounced around a bit, seems weird he was never able to get traction again.

Not saying Clanton is or isn't heading to Ames, I haven't heard a word up here which is pretty typical for this time of year but he locked down a commitment in home recruiting for UNI this morning.

If he is going, he's a great fit.

Agreed, he's pretty much best case from the candidates I've heard of. Hope ISU can pull him.

I've followed Clanton since he got to UNI. I honestly think he's a future Head Coach. His future is bright.

He relates to kids really well. He likes the things they like (video games, pro wrestling) that seems to give them a sense of ease about making the decision to play for him.

I'm not 100% sure he's got the personality to be a head coach but he's going be a very high level guy for as long as he wants to be one.
