2022-2023 MBB computer projections thread

They won 12 out of the last 13 regular season games and then lost the stinker to Baylor. Not exactly limping into March.

They got lit up by Texas and then got to play Tech and Nebraska. Those teams were bad and ISU rolled them but ISU was a shell. I was at the Tech game and I remember ISU not seeming right.

As great as the Big 12...and it is...the way the season is playing out these last weeks I am not sure we get more than 6 in.

WVU is 5-11 with @ISU and vs KSU left
OSU is 7-9 with Baylor and @TT left
TT is 5-11 with @KU and vs OSU left

I don't think WVU gets in at 5-13 so they need to go 1-1 and even 6-12 is dicey without like two wins in KC. They have a strong NET.

OSU is already on very thin ice. They really need to go 1-1 and win one in KC as well. Their NET is good not great.

TT probably needs to go 1-1 and probably win three in KC.

Once the bracketologist get time to update we'll probably most likely have fallen from the 4 seed to the 7 line in 72 hours. We've at least fallen to the 6 line.

NET - 26
KP - 25
Bartorrvik - 22

I don't mind that actually because I think they can beat Auburn and Gonzaga is bad defensively.
The part about the Zags that could scare me is how experienced and good their offense is. I feel like Timme would be a load for Shoon/Bob.

Either way all conjecture and I think we're better than Auburn for sure.

Yeah, Timme is good but when I watched them earlier in the year against teams like Texas and Baylor they had a boat load of turnovers and Baylor isn't even that good defensively. I also don't think their guards are that good. Granted they could have gotten a lot better since then but it is hard to tell with the competition they play outside of St. Mary's.

I think depending on bracketing principles and such it’s a coin flip between a 7 seed and 8 seed. Assuming we don’t win any more games. Quite the free fall but hey if we find ourselves in the 8/9 game and pull it off then it’s house money trying to take down a 1 seed.
