2021 Stock Market

I have whittled all my funds down to three. Vti, vxus, vb. I had a piss poor track record of trying to invest and make money so I'm going to let the experts do it now.
Nothing wrong with that. This is what they do for a living.

What's the next hot stock from reddit?

Even if we do have a downturn in the market, I don't think it will be prolonged. We may have a downturn of like 10% or something but I really feel like a boom is on the way assuming the infrastructure plan is implemented. (I don't want to get into the politics of it) Assuming just roads, ports, broadband, pipes, electric etc portions are put in ($1.3T).

I had a small amount of cash sitting in my IRA and bought a share of UDOW. I'll be making a deposit and putting in more towards UDOW as well. (Don't worry I have other investments in my IRA...) Basically you get 3 times whatever the Dow does. Goes up 1%, you gain 3%, goes down 1% you lose 3%.

Those are all index funds so there aren’t really experts doing anything. Other than PRIMECAP which I’ve owned for 30 years and can’t seem to sell, I’ve been all index funds for quite a while and I’m very happy doing it that way.

We had a good 2020 thread, so here's an updated one.

Ending the year on record highs, will the party continue? With a Democrat trifecta in congress, will we see more individual stimulus that powers the market?
As of today, marijuana stocks are skyrocketing in anticipation of legalization.

hey, remember when weed stocks were rocketing? That was cool...

I have a decent FAANG (+Microsoft) investment I've been mulling over. Sell high or see if it goes higher? Are these tech stocks 20 year investments or bound to get replaced eventually?

Be careful with those 3X ETFs. Read the fine print.

Anyone trying to get in on COIN IPO??? $250 direct listing price.
Thinking about it. However, that’s just more crypto exposure for my wallet, and if I’m gonna do that, then why not just buy more BTC directly? I also keep going back and forth on coinbase future prospect. Once a BTC etf comes out in the US it will likely grab a huge share of the new users coming into the space, so drastically slowing coinbase US growth. However, internationally they could still grow a lot. Think I’ll watch to see what happens here early on and then make a call later in the week or next week.
