2021 NBA playoffs thread

Doncic is such a weird player. Well below average athletic ability from a speed, jumping and quickness standpoint for an NBA PG or SG. It's insane how skilled he was as an 18-19 year old. Played in a legit European professional league at 16 years old. That's insane. Probably the biggest basketball phenom since Lebron.

Are there any good comparisons to him? Maybe Magic Johnson?

Toni Kukoc? Luka is obviously way better but they have the same vibe to me.

I know you're talking about brand name fame but league is in transition to a new generation of stars.

Jokic, 26, should be MVP this year
Giannis, 26, already 2x MVP
Booker, 24
Doncic, 22

Could add a few more but that's four guys with MVP potential that have already likely won 3 MVPs all under 27 years old.
Would love it if a couple of these young stars stepped up. However, tongue in cheek, I'll wait to try to pronounce Giannis' last name until after they beat the Nets! Don't know if the Bucks have the supporting cast to beat the Nets. I think the Nets will then defeat the 76ers.

I would then love to see either Utah or the Suns beat the Nets in 7 for the ring. Gobert, Mitchell and a healthy Conley would have to step up huge for Utah. Booker, Ayton, and Paul big for the Suns. Maybe one + other player for each team would have to also shine.

I can't count out the "don't look now but" here come the Denver Nuggets! The big three there could be Jokic, Porter, and dare I say it, Monte Morris. That would be pretty sweet considering Denver injuries.

IMO this years NBA champion will be determined in the Bucks/Nets series.

Is it just me or do these contrasting statements urk anyone? 'Somebody maybe to Portland' is a far cry different than 'someone may be a good fit in Portland'.

I mean, if a clown walks up to you on the street and tries to sell you life insurance; are you going to take the clown seriously on that .000001% chance the clown is selling a great product at a great value with top notch after sale service?

That’s the game Stephen A Smith plays. He blurts **** out and if he’s right, he’s going to let you about it. If he’s wrong he’s going to do the “I’m just an idiot with a microphone why would anyone listen to me” schtick. The guy is ******* terrible.

Dame's "small" so part of the defensive problem starts there.
Needs a running mate that's really plus defensively.

Portland has nothing that the Wolves would really want in exchange for KAT that wouldn't include Dame himself, so I think this is just another stupid idea from Stephen A.

I didn’t think Portland could get any worse defensively, but I could be proven wrong if KAT ends up there. No way would Lillard approve that.

I no nothing about Portland's D or KAT's but I just like the way you flat out state it.
