2021 NBA playoffs thread

The Nuggets started really sluggish earlier this year. I think their trade to get rid of Gary Harris, who was an undersized defensive "stopper" that couldn't shoot to get Gordon was huge. Millsap was also playing way too much and is on his last legs. It sucks that Murray, Barton and Dozier all got hurt almost immediately after that trade, because they would probably be favorites with Utah to get out of West. It's been pretty cool to watch them improve all season, because they were rough early in the year.

Also, most teams will have 1-2 guys with crap contracts, but the Nuggets "worst" two contracts are Millsap and McGee, neither of which are terrible and both will be off the books next year. Having Porter and Morris this cheap, along with Jokic and Murray each about $10m under the mega contracts will be huge for them next year, although Morris gets paid starting next year. They should be able to either get another good forward or upgrade Barton's SG spot. Lowry will be available, which would be interesting. Otherwise, I'm not sure what the market for Oladipo will be either.

DEVIN BOOKER!!!!!! Love that guy.

AD done already... might be game. LeBron just looks old.

Lakers gonna mail it in?

What exactly is the plan there for the next 2-3 years?

The Lakers look like a fish you just pulled into the boat that's flopping around... but not for much longer.

I'm surprised they let AD play, he looked terrible.

This game is over, O/U on when Lebron walks off the court?

I get that AD is injured, but the Suns right now are like "**** all the talking heads that said the #7 seed was going to sweep us out of the playoffs". They're playing like they want to 50-point the Lakers on their own court.

I feel like he might already be in the locker room changing into street clothes. Mentally he seemed checked out the moment AD left

Tonight was the night LeBron was going to be aggressive and dominate.... and he’s done next to nothing.

And LA makes you wonder how they even qualified.

I sent a text of condolences to my Blazers superfan friend.

Verbatim response --

"It was a good series and it was worth it to see Dame go supernova. Morris was incredible, but I am worried a bit it is due to our porous wing defense."
