2021 NBA playoffs thread

Young had a crowd chanting **** him in unison with his 11 year old brother in attendance and was spit on by a fan at the Garden but took in stride and clapped back. Russ got popcorn dumped on him and lost his mind, these two situations are as different as the character of each player.

Russ does a lot of good things off the court. Fans think they can say or do what they want at NBA games. They need to be held accountable.

How do you ban a fan from stadium?

Are they giving every ticket taker a mugshot of the individual? Seems fairly difficult/impossible.

What a piece of scum though... like Westbrook said, bet he wouldn't try doing that outside the arena. Player put in a tought spot, cant defend themselves at all.

It's usually if they get caught in the stadium again they get charged with trespassing

Totally agree but that doesn't justify his reaction. Again, what Young went through is much worse and he was mature enough to handle it. Russ has a history of this. I'm glad the fan was punished.

Just because one person handles it better, doesn't mean the other is poor maturity. After a loss no less... if you don't do/say something its just going to continue.

Gotcha... seems like nothing a baseball cap and a pair of sunglasses wouldn't fix. Seems pretty tough to enforce (for eternity).

If a stranger dumps a box of popcorn on someone’s head, the dumpee trying to beat their ass is a very justified reaction

Calling Westbrook's character into question because a fan is being a disrespectful punk is unjustified. The NBA is made up predominantly of one race and the fans pulling these shenanigans are usually made up of one race. This isn't going unnoticed with the players.

I like the Bucks, Lakers, and Blazers tonight. A half-strength CP3 is going to do the Suns in I'm afraid. The seas are starting to part for LeBron once again. I really hope Denver can win their series, but even if they can, they are basically bringing a knife to a gun fight every night. They would have had a legitimate shot at the Lakers if Murray was healthy.

Just showed the incidents from last night.

Looks like Trey didn't even know he was getting spit on in the moment but didn't press charges either. Lady in front of the spitter got some on her.

Shaq just spoke up and I agree: they should show popcorn thrower and spitter's faces.

I think the bigger thing is they revoked his season tickets. You can’t buy season tickets without giving your name. So he might be able to still get in, but he won’t be able to buy the court side season tickets or whatever they were.

The Suns series is not over, but it seems the Lakers are odds on favorites there. Now that the Lakers are healthy again are they favored to repeat?

Who will give them the most trouble? Utah from the West or New Jersey, Philly in the East?
