2021 NBA playoffs thread

Denver’s rotations on d is slow or non existent on most plays. Phoenix is just toying with them.
Denver has never been good on D. They have zero rim protection and too many players than are defensive liabilities (Porter, Jokic, Campazzo). They weren't good in the playoffs last year either, but with Jokic and Murray they were able to outscore everyone until they faced the Lakers.

Well Denver kind of has a big hole to dig themselves out of. Doable but not easy. Hope Utah gets the W tonite.

Only watched a bit last night but there seems to be quite a gap between PHX and Denver.

Paul's groove and demeanor seem like the perfect veteran spot for his team and Denver looks pretty bad...was interesting that they were still hanging around for a bit though.

The lost of Murray is hard to overcome. I'm kind of amazed they got out of the first round.

Combine the lost of Murray with the confidence Phoenix got by eliminating the defending champs and you have ingredients for series being over in 4 or 5 games.

That was mentioned last night by the crew. They said whenever Monty Williams thinks the team is trending down/having issues he puts in Chris Paul and they settle down immediately from his leadership.

The box says he had 15 assists and 0 turnovers last night. That's insane.

The top of the key pick and rolls are almost ran to perfection and when he doesn't pass and does those drive/pull up for a 10-15ft jumper are a thing of beauty.

Watching PHX with CP3 it really makes you wonder why Houston wasn't more successful when he was there. Those were more talented teams than PHX. Probably helps he has teammates who will check their ego to win.

Positive spin on this from ISU perspective is that it's pretty impressive Nader was in the rotation for this Phoenix team before his injury.
Off topic but in another thread recently you said you studied abroad, Italy. How was that? Also did you get by with just English or did you know a little Italian?

Is Paul pretty healed up now do you guys think? Shoulder wasn't it?

Denver is gonna get swept
It's the NBA.
Denver wins one at home.
Phoenix is young, athletic and talented. Well, except CP3, who is old, smart and talented. This what they envisioned when drafting Booker, Ayton, Bridges, etc., then added the missing piece, a veteran PG.

BTW, I remember a lot of naysayers when they signed.
