His cap hit moves from $21M to $16M. Knowing Watkins too well, I could see him not reaching incentives due to inevitably getting injured and missing a good chunk of the season.
Let's say he gets hurt week three and misses eight games. Idk the incentives but lets say missing half the season will really hurt his chances. If he gets $9M plus say $1M of incentives what happens to that $6M worth of incentives he missed out on? Roll to 2021?

Good luck to Watkins on reaching those incentives. Better stay healthy. I don't see his injury history plus Tyreek, Mecole, Kelce allowing him to have a better 2020 vs 2019.
Smart call. The next thing they should consider is extending the amount of time for each team to make their pick for at least the first two rounds to allow team personnel to communicate.
I'm wondering if there will be fewer trades now because it's not just one guy making a decision for a team without consulting their coaches, scouts, cap managers, etc..

I don't understand Bill O'Brien's long term vision for the Texans. He is in way over his head as a GM.
Seems when RB's these days sign those kinda deals, it's like the curse of death. By that I mean, they get hurt or they take it easy and don't give 100%. Look at Gurley, Bell, for instance.
