2018 Stock Prediction

Why not sell half and ride out the other half with "free" shares?
I thought about it earlier. But Calls are being bought. AMD is just chewing through resistance right now. I doubt there is a correction until $22 or so. Still a good time to buy.

Not a large float on that stock. 2/3 is non-trading but not owned by insiders. I'm not sure where those shares are but congrats on the jump for earnings.

Speaking of possible squeezes higher. I didn't notice till now that Gamestop closed up 9% today on news they are officially seeing interest from potential buyouts. Would probably be the best case scenario for them as management has been bad but they still generate cash. With over 45 million shares short of <100 million float. This could get interesting.

I put papa johns on my watch list but now it sounds like schnatter isn’t going quietly like at first so I probably will forget even keeping an eye on it. Too much drama for me

Was going to buy HMNY (Moviepass) this morning but Wells Fargo was going to charge me $35 for the transaction. Thanks WFC for saving me my money on that dumpster fire. Also I still think AMD has quite a bit of movement up as it is still under $17.

Use the Robinhood app.

Missed the boat on shop, but killing it with IQ recently. China tech stocks have been unreal lately.

SHOP and BZUN (the Chinese SHOP) have been amazing and I've done amazingly well following the short-calls and subsequent recovery. IQ has been great.

A couple others that have been fun lately are SFIX, APPN, TDOC, SQ, and OKTA. HUBS continues to perform well too for me.

Why anyone would ever pay a retail trading fee is beyond me.

It’s one thing if you’re with a EJ or TD paying 7.99 a trade I can accept that. But $35??? Wtf man.
Normally it is $5.99 a trade but they must have some crazy fee for penny stocks. There is a way for me to get free trades but I just havent looked into it enough as I dont use my brokerage account very often.

Is Robinhood a brokerage firm or a way to trade within existing brokerage firms?

I read their bid prices are higher than market value to compensate for no trading fees.

If I have a portfolio at Vanguard (who trade vanguard funds for free) what would I benefit from using Robinhood?

Robinhood runs through Apex Clearing I believe.

I looked it up - it seems like it's ideal for lower-balance investors?

If you buy fund ETFs most brokerages don't charge a fee, and at Robinhood you can't use unsettled cash to buy another fund like you can at most places, so it takes a few days to buy something after you sell something. I wonder why.

Officially it takes three days to clear a transaction. Totally shouldn't especially now but just a float that the banks and brokerages take advantage off.

Once you make so many trades or something then they will send you the offer to be a “power buyer” or something and you can have instant access to funds, after hours trading, and options trading.

I was thinking someone had created a tracker for these stocks that we picked. Can we get a 6 month update?

On a side note, it's funny to look at the posts from February where it seemed like the world was ending.
