MLB: 2017 Minnesota Twins Thread

I went to Saturday's game and had a good time. Really glad I didn't go a day later to yesterday's game. And today's game obviously sucked.

2 long tough L's in a row and in 36 hours the bullpen goes from doing great and well rested too in shambles. I'm not happy with the move to send Vargas down. I understand that you have too add a couple arms after yesterday but, Why send down one of your power guys?

Would not be surprised to see more moves coming

I am reminded of the famous Casey Stengel diatribe: "Can't anybody get anybody out around here?" Santana pitches 7 wonderful innings, gives up 1 earned run, and......what? Disaster? To be sure - but what does Falvey do now? It's not like there's a bunch of guys he can bring up to give a shot. He's already done that, pretty much.

I give Kinzsler (sp?) a pass, that blown save isn't normal for him. But JFC.....5 earned runs in 1/3 of an inning isn't even bad, that's beyond pathetic.

Maybe I'm expecting too much, we all knew it would take more than 2 months to rebuild this team.

The middle relief guys are really getting exposed in the last couple of weeks. Wish the Twins still had Brian Duensing. Could have gotten him relatively cheap and he'd beat what they are sending out there now.

And then they go to Anaheim and take 3 of 4 from the Angels. Granted, they didn't have Trout, and their pitching is suspect (we beat Nolasco yesterday, and that looked familiar), but I wonder if they could get a special dispensation to play all their games on the road?

Molitor needs to cover Target Field with the opposing team's stadium name going forward.

Been a pretty fun year so far. It's June 5th and twins are still in first place.

Santana and Berrios make an excellent 1-2 punch. If Gibson has things figured out (will he ever?) then they have 60% of a good rotation.

Man it would be really nice if 3 of the Twins top relief prospects weren't hurt in Chargois, Jay & Burdi. Replace Belisle, Haley, and the Wheeler/Pressly/Wilk **** sandwich we've seen this year with those three and the bullpen looks a lot different. They're definitely going to have to find some help somewhere, because that bullpen is just brutal right now.

Was very happy to see the Twins go and get 3 of 4 against the angels after the wheels came off against Houston. Although Houston looks to be the best team in the league right now, Twins still let a couple of those get out of hand.

Hoping to finish the west coast road trip above 500.

Yeah, if it wasn't for that !&?$!#?!! bullpen, they would have two more wins.

And interestingly - Twins are 12-18 at home and 19-8 on the road.
