**2017 Cap City Thread**

Don't blame the refs for the T's as long as they are consistent. Maybe it was to get the players to focus on what they came to do which is to play. If I was a ref I wouldn't put up with any Tom Foolery.

Well they were obviously not consistent on the hanging on the rim crap.

If they're consistently dumb as hell then yeah you should still blame them. Talking is a part of the game.

Guys, I just looked at the stats from last night and saw Lewis was 13-13 from inside the arc (0-2 from 3). Can someone describe the kinds of shots Lewis was taking?

Would you tolerate any malarkey?

Lewis had several dunks and put backs. He also had 2-3 15 footers where he posted up and then stepped back and hit a little fadeaway. Couple other mid-range jumpers as well. Very efficient game. He has shown the ability to hit threes so not worried about that. His team won by 40 so he didn't have to play more than about 25 minutes.

Good player. Might take some time for him to get bigger and adjust to speed/physicality of college game but he will be very good.

From the few highlights I've seen of Lewis in CCL, it looks like he's always in the right spot. Some of that is luck, but it's mostly because he knows the game.

I watched him closely last night and he's in the right place because he is watching thd ball. He watches the shots go up and kind of slithers to the right place. I don't know that he will be able to do that in college right away but I am very excited about him.

Tom is now playing in Europe as he was asked to leave the CCL.

One ref called 4 Ts in the first game, including one on Lard for barely hanging on the rim. Then one in next game against a Drake guy who said "you get paid for this, right?" soft enough I couldn't hear it at the scorers table. Another on Matt Tiby for calling for a kicked ball in the next game. 6 total Ts by one guy on the night. I'd say thin-skinned might be an understatement for what was going on.

I thought Blum was just an announcer? :)

Y Cap City games start up again this Sunday at Valley Southwoods. First game should be the best with 5-0 Doerrfeld Promotions (Solomon Young, Terrence Lewis) taking on 3-2 Hinterland (Donovan Jackson, Matt Tiby). 4:30 tip. Tiby is very physical and aggressive so it should be a good challenge for Solomon.

5:45 game is Hannah Homes (Jacobson) vs. Lions Club (maybe Beverly makes his debut?) and 7pm is Sparta (Shayock, Lard) vs. JayTees (Babb).
