With the new year upon us, I think it would be a great time for all of us to post our Cyclone Fanatic Wishlist for 2009.

Not surprisingly, I'll start...

1) No posts about logo changes.

2) Continued excellent "merging" work from our Mods.

3) A serious reduction in Hawkeye-related threads.

The infatuation by some is annoying, especially to those of us out-of-state'ers who really NEVER hear about the Hawks except for those obsessed ISU fans on this board. Yes, I realize I don't have to live/work with them on a daily basis, but come on...

4) The new/recent Social Group changes need to be rolled back. I'll spare everyone the details here, but those who know, know.

5) Continued overall excellence by the board as a whole as the best "free" board on the Interwebs. Yes, some growing pains have set in, but I challenge anyone to find a better free board. Great job, everyone.

That's it for now. Enough to get the ball rolling, anyway...

Here's to a great Cyclone 2009, and a safe, healthy, prosperous year for everyone.

6) People to stop trying to squash the free flow of ideas - within reason.

oops - that may be in conflict with #1

Look - I know you Chizik lovers LOVE the Chizik Logo and colors. I'm not against you. I like the Chizik football helmets and the uniforms in football. They do look good.

Unveiled in our major revenue sport - the Chizik logo is etched upon us. We'll forever remember our coach Chizik's stamp upon our athletics - though the logo and color fiasco probably didn't have anything to do with him at all.

But it's the "Chizik Logo" whether we like it or not.

 I don't think so, Tim.

I'd say it's more of a JP logo.

More perspective

A set of training wheels for new posters - including a thorough lesson on the "search" function

No more posting new threads just because you feel your ideas are more important than everyone else's in the relevant thread (THANK YOU mods for merging these)

Actually, you are the only one calling it the Chizik logo. Pollard was behind the logo switch, not Chizik.

With less reasons to melt down already taken, I'll say I wish to never see Steve Deace's name or face anywhere. Ever.

I would like to see less negativity on CF.

Hope none of you work for a suicide hot-line.

People who don't meltdown don't care as much as us that do meltdown. Those who melt down are the ones who wear there team on there sleave.

So I like us Meltdown type of guys. It shows we care.

Also people who get offended to easily on the internet need to go. That is my wish for 2009. If someone on the net can offend you then you need a reality check. Now if they talk about your momma or your kids then I understand. If they call you a name and you cry to the mods about it then your a sissy.

Other 2009 wish list items include. WIN.

You're also the type of people that throw remotes at walls and kick puppies. True story, admit it.

Puppy kicker.

Agreed. Do you really think a message board full of positive, everybody's doing everything right, 100% support of ISU admin and coaches, blind sheep posters would last?
Controversy sells. And sex, but I don't want to see any of you naked, well...
