165

St. John posted this hours before the meet last night. So despite knowing he needed surgery and his competitive career was over, he went out and wrestled one last time anyway. Respect!

What's the details of his surgery?

Emil Soehnlen of Purdue is going through the backside at Midlands right now @165. He is a true freshman from Massillon Perry and was coached by Nate Carr and teammate to David. He was a very good high school wrestler and just beat another highly ranked true freshman Tyler Dow from Wisconsin. Mr. Carr get on the phone with Emil

Yeah, Can't do that, but would be great. I am curious how many wrestlers are on the transfer list. We always hear about the basketball players that are transferring, but wrestling transfers keep pretty quiet.

That's probably best case scenario isn't it?

Eh... whoever won was gonna have a rough time of it with a top 20 guy in Fogarty right out of the gate. We have some non-starters who are ready to slot in to the lineup if need be but don't really have anybody like that between Leisure at 141 and Bush at 184.

But who knows, some guys flip a switch when the lights are on and maybe Schumacher is one of them.

Did they give any update on Parker? I couldn't find the whole press conference.

They said he's working out and it'll be a game time decision. NDSU's 141 pounder isn't great so Leisure would either be favored or it'd be a toss up. Parker would be a big favorite if he's healthy.
