In addition to oddity of holding CU to 9 in first half ... final score was 70-42.
Second half was even, 33-33.
Ugh. I had blocked out all memories of this game until you all started talking about it. Not one of the greatest games I’ve ever attended, but at least it was a win.
I remember a few years ago UCLA had 7 points at half against Kentucky.
I was there for Johnnys last year and Tim Floyd. Fred was a year behind me.
And my oldest started in 2010, so bought season tix just in time for Hoiball. Good times! Still have the tix, though the CSP years were rough.

Just reffed a high school game tonight that ended 104-22. Not much fun when it is that lopsided.

Read the game story in the second post. Iowa State scored 49 in the second half. They took a 9 point lead at 39-30 and never relinquished the lead winning 60-51. No it wasn't a final possession game. ISU hit a lot of free throws down the stretch as kNU tried to foul their way back into the game.
It was longer ago than I thought!

Kentucky, up 41-7 at half, crushes UCLA
The Kentucky Wildcats built a ridiculous 41-7 halftime lead en route to blowing out the UCLA Bruins.
This game happened 110 years ago in February, so, a (not so) fun history lesson.
I heard that when Bisbee knocked down that shot he flashed a timeout sign at the Grinnell bench.
Florida had actually only scored 12 points at half on Wednesday night too
