KSU job/offer got leaked, Patterson got pissed and turned it down. If that wouldn't have gotten out to the media I think Patterson is KSU's new head coach.
Supposedly, for the same reason we could be about to lose him - if this gets out too much. Rumors are he accepted the job, it leaked too early and he got upset.
So as long as this thing stays to just message board chatter rumors and if it's true - we should be golden.
Or should I say, froggy! :wink:

I'll believe it when I see it. But if the KSU talk is true, we (as in on this message board) should all ignore this info and keep looking elsewhere until the coach is announced :smile:.

So...let me play evil jerk for a second. Say I'm Jon Miller (i'm saying Miller is an evil jerk) and I want ISU to possibly lose Patterson as well (if they have him). Could I just get on my radio show and throw out that a "source" now says Patterson is the guy with the hope that Patterson gets upset and bails on ISU like he did for KSU?
There is a lot of time between now and next Wednesday. There are too many "mouths" to keep something like this quiet even though may just be speculation.

If we don't hear any announcement on Monday....then I am inclined to believe the above possibility that I am not actually looking at.
