10 year class reunion ideas

Don't have a barbershop quartet like my wife's class had, what a train wreck that was. Maybe for a 50th class reunion, probably not even then.

I haven't been to any of my reunions. The 25th is coming up in 2 years. I probably won't go to it, either. I just don't care.

Buy an old trans am, grow a handle bar mustache, and bring a black hooker.
Kind of a Kenny Powers theme

or even better, don't go, there's a reason you don't hang out with those people anymore

Call the friends that you are actually close to and if they are still close buy have a barbacue.

Maybe it's because I'm a girl, but I wanted to go back for my 10-year even if it was to see people I didn't particularly get along with. My curiosity was too great - who had kids? Who got fat? Who got skinny? I had a fun time with the people who were there, but that was probably because both events included a large amount of alcohol.

So, there's my answer. Anything that includes a large amount of alcohol.

i would normally agree with this, but facebook has completely changed the game... now I can stay in touch with idiots that i didnt like in high school without even talking to them... I can see how fat Stacey Preston got by clicking on her pictures in my news feed, I can see how hot jill johnson got by doing the same thing... Oh look that floosey Jennifer had another kid and it looks like she is engaged yet again... so I think that facebook has forever ruined class re-unions for me... and I could not be happier.

If the class size supports it rent one of the bars at the fairgrounds out for the night(not during the fair). We did this and it was nice. Hire a band and have a good time. Don't listen to the nay sayers on this site, reunions can be a good time. Who cares if you didn't like the people ten years ago, they've probably changed by now.

This year we are having an 11 year reunion because nobody was ambitious enough to put together a 10 year reunion last year.

Yeah, our 10-year was held before Facebook was open to everyone.

I still maintain large amounts of alcohol will make the event much more enjoyable for everyone involved - including spouses/significant others of classmates.

I went to my 10 year reunion 3 years ago with my brother-in-law (we happened to be in the same class) - we both agree that we'd like to get those 4+ hours of our lives back. It was just an excuse to do what those guys do every weekend - get ****-drunk at a local dive bar and tell pointless stories to one another over blaring crappy music. While there's nothing inherently wrong with that scenario, generally only the d-bags that I wasn't close with showed up (although I generally got along with all of them back in the day) and none of them really changed all that much. In fact, I lost a lot of respect for people that I held in high regard back in HS.

Had it been the reunion for the class that graduated behind me I probably would have had a much better time, as I was closer with that class than I was with mine and some of those guys are still some of my best friends.

But other than that, unless you have friends from that class that you are still close with, going to a HS reunion is generally a gigantic waste of time.

Man you guys must have went to some horrible schools. For our 20 year (last year) about 90% of everyone came back. Everyone got along good and we had a lot of fun. Since I rarely see most of these people I thought it was interesting to see what everyone was doing and how they changed. Yes, things have changed in 20 years but the people that I liked 20 years ago I still like today. A few of the people that used to be obnoxious in high school have since grown up.
