1 Quarterback unless!?!?

"Quit taking sacks" is the dumbest thing I've heard in reference to this game. Neither guy had a ******* chance tonight. The oline was hardly an obstacle. I would bet we'd have 4 of the worst 6 grades in the conference on our OL tonight.

This. While you could nitpick a couple there were plenty of sacks where guys came through almost untouched and others where no one was open. Perfect storm of no protection and no one open (in a slight nod to WR's some sacks came before the route was probably half run!).

Please elaborate because that's not what I read.

Getting players experience is more important than getting wins to me. When I mentioned Lanning and Lazard I wasn't saying don't play them, I was saying it sucks that they might have to sacrifice some wins for a better future for the program playing with a bunch of young guys around them.

I would only add THIS season. Get the schemes in and focus on players development while repping the CRAP outta the new offense and defense schemes and see how the current roster fits the plan going forward.

I don't get the love for Park. He has shown me very little. He's had a few flashes but his overall play isn't inspiring. JL isn't much better, but he's more consistent. I'm really hoping Zeb takes control next year.

Isn't Noland injured? He's not going to be close to ready. An improved line would make Lanning or Park competent enough to win 4-5 games next year.

Park made a huge mistake at the moment Texas took over. He had an easy 8-10 yard run to pick up 4 yards for a first down, didn't take it, we punted, they scored for the first time.

Not saying Lanning doesn't make mistakes but I'm not seeing superior play from Park.

Unfortunately neither are naturally skilled enough to make up for a struggling O-line.

It has more to do with Lannings continued stupid mistakes. He has shown he either doesn't know how to make better decisions or he isn't learning.

What I saw on Sat. was the same thing we have seen year in and year out for the past 3 or 4. Press coverage on the wide receivers (begging us to throw it deep) 4 or 5 man rush getting to the QB before WR are able to get down field. No play action. Charlie Strong made us his *****.

How many college quarterbacks throw the ball away at the right time versus taking a sack? I feel like I watch a lot of significant amount of games and rarely see it happen in college. There are many pro QBs that struggle with this.

Park seems like a true QB #2 to me. Not as good, makes stupid mistakes, but has some up side. Like lots of underclassmen players.

I don't like the idea of giving up on the season halfway through, with some of our easier games ahead. I don't think this is a bowl team, but it could win a few more games, which would (sadly) be better than the last couple of seasons.
