1/25 ranking - ISU

Guess ISU will be 13. Thinking beating #1 OU on Big Monday was seen by most if not all the voters and the positive pub all week could be little more infuential than a normal win.

It'll be interesting how much movement there is tomorrow. With Providence beating Nova #4 of the 5 teams lost (UNC playing currently) there'll be a lot of shuffling.

Just talking Big10. Other than only having to play once at Maryland, will they even have a ranked team left on their conference schedule to play? Indiana , I guess....who has only played the other bottom half cupcake conference teams. They won't compete inside. So yeah, with their ability to shoot it and spread the floor now, they should easily win that conference.

I think we jump to 11 or 12, maybe higher. If we win both this week, solidly in the middle of the top ten. IMO, KU could drop a bunch if they lose at Hilton.

More than likely, they will. Meanwhile the Big 12 will be beating each other up. Would imagine the Big12 champ would get 1 tho, the ACC champ, and BigEast champ maybe?

Will be shocked if we move that much. I still say only around 16. If we get lucky and win both this week then the big jump would happen next week.

Admittedly, they are having their best combined FB and BB season probably ever. They better enjoy it while it lasts because the fall won't be as fun as the climb and the fall will happen again.

Iowa will lose at Maryland and Indiana, maybe one other... With that, if they win the B10 tourney they will get a 1 ( I don't see that happening, expect them to get a 2)

The old "Iowa plays nobody" argument doesn't hold up here. They play the toughest big 10 teams twice, and the bottom feeders once. Their SOS is very high.

I don't see either poll moving us up more than 3 spots. We aren't being taken serious, and won't be until we get a big win outside of Ames. I'm not saying that it's right, I might be slightly biased, but I think we're being overlooked. I don't see how we can continue to be overlooked if we get 2 wins against top ten teams this week, which I think we will.

While I agree they have a tough schedule the B1G is not very good this year.

I'll take number 9 in a heartbeat. I'm guessing a little lower, but who knows. Let's win this week and watch us soar.
