    Looking for non-Keg Stand options to watch Cyclones.tv games in the Des Moines area. Seems like everyone has dropped Mediacom at this point, so I don't have any idea where to watch the game tonight.

    There's not really much to report. Jim Williams has heard something somewhere. Unless whoever he heard it from is running around telling everyone they know, there's not really a story to report yet.

    If the MWC doesn't offer wrestling, ISU is allowed to join another conference (Big 10?) for wrestling, or compete as an independent.

    Exactly. The people that talk about this have apparently never tuned in to MTN. It's damn near public access, with no national sponsors. It's not like just having a tv network brings in a bunch of money.

    I'm sure there's plenty to it, but KSU can't get an invite to a number of conferences because it's lacking AAU qualifications. Otherwise they're plenty attractive to the smaller conferences.

    And I'm not saying they aren't. I'm saying that public perception helps to create more options, which gives us slightly more control over our future.

    The Big 10's reasons for being interested in certain teams has nothing to do with smaller conferences reasons for wanting to pick up certain pieces.

    And I'm not saying they are. My point is that the more people in the general public that see ISU as a legitimate addition to one of the mid-major conferences, the better situation we end up in.

    The Mountain West isn't concerned with tv markets. They're concerned with athletic prestige and getting a BCS bid. The people on their boards are giving Mizzou and Kansas football more credit than either have earned, seemingly because of short term success in the north. If things had swung ISU's...

    I don't know... anymore it seems like a what have you done for me lately mentality. Teams that have had awful stretches within the last 20 years are suddenly power players because of current success.
