    Golfing strategy question

The driver is the most overrated, over marketed, and over practiced club in the bag. You'll hit it 14 times a round, max. Get a 4-wood, fairways and greens, and show your buddies your scorecard next time they give you a hard time about not hitting driver and how you beat them by 10 strokes...

    Beef Prices

Between now and 2040 beef prices and food prices in general should trend up and increase in price more than most people will want. The Agriculture industry in general will be strong. All the developming 2nd and 3rd world economies will demanded better quality food and a taste for beef for the...

How much do you give to your church?

My wife and I don't give much I'm ashamed to admit. Well under 10%. We do give a lot to children's and military charities though. The wounded warrior project is a favorite.

    Golf Club Question

Um, I think you have more issues to than just not hitting down on the ball. Have you considered a new hobby?

How did you find your passion?

If you start your own business, first write a good business plan with as accurate projections as you can. Then, cut your projected revenues by 50% and double your projected expenses. If you can still make a profit, you have a good chance of succeeding.

How did you find your passion?

I think it's less about finding your passion and more about aligning your natural God given talents to your line of work. For example, my passion is golf, but there is no way I'll be able to make money playing golf. I certainly don't want to be a golf pro or manage a golf course because that...

    Golf Club Question

I agree, there is no wrong way to swing a golf club as long as the impact position is good. My unprofessional opinion is you are making the golf swing harder than it needs to be. I swing my driver the same as my 56 degree Vokey wedge. The only different is the length of the shaft and the ball...

    Golf Club Question

I assure you those swing are the same. Zach Johnson and his coach Mike Bender do not preach swinging the driver different than a 7 iron. His left arm is inline with his shoulder plane on all clubs. It is more of a shallow swing with the driver versus say a 7 iron simply because the shaft is...

Dumbest thing youve seen on a golf course

One of the coolest things I've seen is when I played in a Hooters golf fundraiser event. But instead of Hooters girls there were local strippers on most tee boxes and greens. They'd clean your clubs, balls, pull out the flag ,etc...for tips of course. On a few holes the girl on the green...

    Golf Club Question

I've tried it an it works. In my opinion one of the best training devices out there as it forces you to hit down on the ball. However, I'd save your money and either do the broken tee drill I mention above Or, you could quickly build one of these for cheap like I did: Learn To Swing...

    Golf Club Question

Once you do this drill you're going to love the way it feels when you hit it. Crisp, cleaner contact, lower trajectory and it will go farther. I've seen many people lower there handicap a lot after they figured this out. Good luck!

    Golf Club Question

"hitting down" means to hit the ball first and the ground second. Most people hit the ground before the ball losing distance, accuracy and creating the need for more timing. You should hit the ball first and then your divot starts after the ball. Check out this video. Instead of using a...

    Golf Club Question

Sounds like you are a feel player rather than a technical player. I am a feel player and I hate it when people teach in technical terms like "put your right arm here" and "turn your hips 45 degrees" yada yada. I need someone to tell me how it should feel. For example, when I was young a golf...

    Golf Club Question

I took your original comments as you must swing your driver different than your irons. The swing is the same, the ball position is all that changes.
  18. J

    Golf Club Question

I respectfully disagree. You only need one swing for all clubs. The only thing that changes is the ball position to determine if you are hitting down on the ball (irons) or if you are doing more of a sweeping motion (woods). It worked for Jack Nicklaus, it works for us average joe's.

    Golf Club Question

I have two hybrids but I still hit my 3 and 4 irons occasionally. A hybrid is definitely more forgiving and easier to hit, BUT you still need to hit down on the ball like you do with your irons and should with your woods. Next time you're at the range take a broken tee and place it about 2...

    Prairie Meadows and kids

We take our kids and they love the horses. We sit and enjoy the weather, have some drinks and snacks, etc... We let the kids bet $2 on a horse. They look through the book and pick horses out by which one has the coolest name. They get a kick out of the names. I then go inside and place the...
