    I was excited about messenbrink and on the hype train early but I’m not willing to bet he beats David yet. Messenbrink is just new and exciting and fun to watch but he still has another level to get to Carr O’toole. Specifically on top/bottom.

    Yes, depending on the degree of the tear or strain. I didn’t have an MRI done either time nor did I have the recovery resources or professionals helping out like he will have. The amount of care he will get to help alleviate swelling and pain will be second to none.

    I think some coaches play the what-if scenario until their knees bleed and others just stay on their feet and let the kids wrestle and see how it plays out.     Not saying I know all the details nor am I going to discuss any further. But you definitely don’t know anything from the sounds of it. I believe there’s a lot from this story that hasn’t gotten out and the kid paid the price already. From my interactions with him he isn’t a terrible kid.

    I agree he’s wildly inconsistent but he’s actually extremely close to being “there”. More consistent on bottom and finishing his shots and he’s a top 5 or 6 guy.

    MJ has to go back to the basics and stay in position when he wrestles St John in practice. It helps to have that guys taking MJ to school and keeping him honest in practice.

    Dual this week (WVU Friday 2/2)

    So our good entertaining home duals consist of Iowa - a loss, Missouri, and UNI. Let’s hope we win those 2 with only 3 good home duals. I was really excited for this home schedule this year but it’s looking like letdown city..
