    Ottumwa at #4 Cedar Falls for the Boys Sub-State semis. Cedar Falls has two kids 6'8", two 6'6", and I think their shortest starter is 6'3" or 6'4". Ottumwa's tallest kid is 6'5". It's....not pretty. And there was still over 4:00 to go in the first half.

    Don't think that's dad, I think that's his HS coach. Mike Rose was the guy with longish hair standing up, Charlie Kolar was in his car, Chase Allen with the short(!) red hair

    Okay, REALLY exposing my nerdiness. We played this piece my senior year of HS, and the only adjustment was that we probably played the first and third movement maybe 20%(?) slower. They adjusted the arrangement and played it for the marching band's field show the year after I graduated.

    En route to Carlisle for district wrestling. Ottumwa is the only school there the station group covers. They have someone at Fairfield, but any other schools are scattered to the four winds. So I get to help keep track of those wrestlers remotely. 'Tis the season.

    I remember this playing at JTS at the 2011 OSU game. We had just scored to only be down by a TD, or tie it up. The whole freakin' place was shaking from everyone jumping up and down. You see the camera shaking when ESPN came back from commercial.
