    It shouldn't be awarded yet (it isn't awarded until the acedimic year is over)- I believe every year so far BOTH teams have gotten the academic points. To get the point for that, the collective athletic departments have to meet targets (gpa, graduation rates, etc).

    Decided to check the standings...and saw that they awarded the Academics to the Hawks (isn't supposed to be awarded till May 2015). I assume that a Hawk operator wanted to give Iowa an extra point to help them out for now. Score should be 13-6, currently shows 13-7. Is that right...

    I've had a neato for a year and run it 5 days a week when the house is empty. Does a good job with chairs and furniture, mixed results with kids toys. Usually will get 80% of the upstairs done before getting stuck or lost (8 areas + hallways). You will still need to vacuum on occasions, but...

    Any idea when Moss is looking to commit? Does ISU have much of a chance coming into the game this late (didn't Iowa only offer a week ago as well)? Would like to get some positive BBall news - might just have to wait till the season starts and the wins start piling up.

    Actually...that isn't correct. Third tier rights only count for non-conference games. If ISU (or any B12 school) doesn't want to be on Texas' LHN, they don't have to be. Even if the game isn't picked up anywhere else. Texas asked and Pollard went with it because he saw a (good) opportunity...

    A move couldn't happen until the grant of rights is almost up....and I hope for ISU's sake we renew it well before it expirers. I would love to get into another power conference, just don't see it happening.

    If any of the other power 5 conferences would take ISU, make the move. As it is, there is no where to go. Cash the football checks and hope they don't mess up the basketball calls (outside of protecting KU).

    You just missed the annual geode fest down in SE Iowa. http://geodefest.org/Information.html Give it a try - cost is $20 a 5 gallon bucket at most of the sites and you'll get a lot of geodes....and probably a bit muddy.

    While not allowed by the NCAA, the NCAA does not have the power to get the records (they are not a law enforcement/government agency). Likewise a relative or coach is not required to disclose gifts to a recruits relatives as long as it is below the IRS limit. Aka - not allowed per NCAA but...

    Irving played a part (along with many other people) in stopping one of ISU's best traditions. I think he has already left a lasting legacy and don't ever want him back on the team.

    W/o playing ball this year, I'm not worried about his commitment. I had hoped that he would attend a Juco close to ISU just so he could attend games/interact with the players.
