I watched her in the first half of the last game, and I would have to say I was pretty impressed with the way she handled the ball, shot and passed. The one thing that I saw from the Hawk was something that the sister struggled with. When she got doubled and kicked it out the other girls hit...
I hope he can make as much progress in the off season as he did last off season. I am still frustrated with how Rob almost never threw the ball back out of the post once he had it. Maybe with the influx of a few shooters he will be more willing to kick it back out or maybe he will get better...
One of the things that I saw as a pitfall for ISU from the beginning of the season. There were only 2 guards on the Clones that could actually handle the ball and one of those couldn't shoot. Gabe and Grill could provide some scoring, but they were not good ball handlers. The loss of Williams...
It always comes down to OL play. Sure having guys like Purdy and Hall mask some of the issues with a bad line, but in the end, if you can't run and you can't protect the QB you are going to be really inconsistent on offense, which ISU was last year.
Having guards that can shoot will help some, but having post players that can make a 6-10 foot shot would help a lot. Tre was the only inside player that was decent at the midrange shots. Shoon was okay at the beginning of the year, and then fell off for some reason. Jones has to have a...
I thought she might stay now that the NCAA has dumped on ISU for no particular reason, once again.. I was really looking forward to seeing Stephanie play next year. Good luck to her.
So, if ISU would have bought the best player off of Texas late in the recruiting process, and that player later dissed on the Longhorns, how do you think he would be treated when he went to Austin? I would guess a lot worse than a few boos.
As far as I am concerned the whole thing is over and...
For ISU having a high dollar NIL guy might do more damage than good, because not everyone is going to be getting near as much money. This has caused a lot of locker room issues on a few FB teams already.
There is absolutely no reason ISU shouldn't be able to find a couple guards that can shoot. Guard is the absolute easiest position to field, simply because there are a lot more athletic 6' to 6' 4" guys out there. Honestly almost every Big 12 team had 3 guards that were better shooters than...
I feel sorry for the kid, because he never looked comfortable the little time he was on the court. He was 1 for 5 from 3 point land, and 3 for 8 overall. All in garbage time. Pretty small sample size, but not a good showing for playing against other team's scrubs.
I guess I didn't see him out there very much, but when I did, it screamed not ready. Now most freshman are not ready to start, but he wasn't particularly close to getting minutes.
We have who we have at the HS level at this point in time. There are going to be a ton of kids in the portal in the next month, and ISU should be able to get a couple scoring guards there. If King, Billiew (sp), and Milan can make even 8-10 foot shots that would be a vast improvement to what...
Seem like a good fit, but I don't want any more rotation guys on this team. TJ needs to go out and find/buy a proven scorer that can handle the ball and get his own shot. It was just painful watching defenses back away from everyone but Gabe or Holmes at the perimeter.
I fully expected the men to have a game like they did at some point in time. I was just hoping they would get to the second round. The ladies, well, I saw way too many games this year where they gave up 10-20 point runs. For a while they were the worst team in the country in the 3rd quarter...
Thank you for posting this. I know someone else mentioned this but I couldn't remember the exact percentage. Just from the way he shoots FTs you can tell he is way more capable as a shooter then he has shown this year. I fully expect him to be much better next year. He had a lot thrown on...
Yeah, I just look at how smooth and good his FT shot is. It isn't like he is Rob Jones out there. It feels like a lot of it is mental. He was much better as a junior in HS than he was a senior and as a freshman at ISU. His mechanics look solid, he just needs to put it together, and he is...
