Fox Sports "Best Fanbase in College Football" twitter voting

Because at Iowa State University we simply do not lose meaningless internet polls.

Is Baylor this year’s version of 2021 Iowa State?

I try to fade Baylor every year and they prove me wrong. In my mind they are the favorites to win the conference and will remain so until I see otherwise.

    Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

ACC deal is comically bad right now, so the entire deal would get revalued when the GOR ends. Presumably that would include all of the schools currently in the ACC. I don't think its a really genuine argument to act like the current value on ACC schools, under a horrible deal, is in any way an...

    Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

It wouldn't really be the deadbeats if, as I said, they join with the ACC as it currently exists. I am not talking about floating whatever is left after some teams leave the ACC, I am talking if ND would outright join at some point, or at the least agree to join when the ACC GOR is up. That...

    Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

That would be if everyone else remains in the ACC. There is obviously quite a bit of value there if other conferences (B1G and SEC) see adding schools like ND, Clemson, Miami, FSU, NC, and Virginia as adding value to their already projected 100 millionish per school.

    Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

I feel like what gets lost with the ND discussion is the potential that, if ever forced to join a conference, ND just joins the ACC and keeps that conference a float. The current ACC with ND would probably get a deal similar to B1G and SEC.

    NIL donation idea

I never would have thought of this. Its literally a hack to double your money.

    NIL donation idea

I don't want to entertain the Troll, but as a fun thought how many cans do you think people go through tailgating on a game weekend? I wish bottle/can deposit would do away, so I'm genuinely curious what the total amount wasted on the deposits is each gameday.

    How many wins in 2022?

I kind of like going into this year with a baseline expectation of going .5000. Nothing will really disappoint and I have been pleasantly surprised by similar Campbell era teams.

Report: T.J. Otzelberger headed for Iowa State

The problem is that a lot of people didn't realize that TJ is him.

    A Notre Dame/Big 12 connection?

True. I guess for me the big difference is that Peacock has already dived heavily into live sports streaming with the Premier League stuff. Juts makes me fell like they might have more of an appetite/ability to take on more.

    A Notre Dame/Big 12 connection?

The NBC stuff seems interesting. NBC has a built in advantage over CBS in that they have already launched a streaming service which they are trying to fill content for. Obviously, it all comes down to $, but this one seems to make a bit more sense logically.

Williams & Blum: Latest realignment thoughts & CW’s Big 12 preseason poll

I kind of like when the K-State fans get upset. They are very clearly threatened by what ISU is becoming under Campbell, and are concerned about where K-State is heading. It makes sense too. ISU has moved from the bottom three into that middle of the pack with realistic chances to threaten for a...

    Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

I’m not speaking strictly to recent results. I’m talking about things like fan engagement. Currently there are much more people interested in attending and watching Iowa State football - which is the major factor in driving value for realignment. Today, Cal and Iowa State aren’t particularly close.

    Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

Since 2010 Cal is 60-80 in football. I don’t know why we’re takings thing back to a 2006 PAC-10 championship to make that football program look accomplished. This is the same BS that drives me nuts with Nebraska fans. What matters is where things stand today. Iowa State is currently in a much...

JJ Kohl set to compete in Elite 11 this week (Tuesday-Thurs.)

JJ wasn’t exactly an under the radar prospect, but it’s insane how well this staff identifies talent. Every year it feels like our high end commits just shoot up the ranking during their senior years.

    New MLB Rule

I am going to zig where everyone else wants to zag on the extra innings thing. I say at some point just let the games end in a tie. We have a 162 game season. There is plenty of time for teams to separate themselves even with a tie. For a more middle of the road approach maybe cap extra innings...

    The X-Pod: Featuring Anthony Johnson

Great job with this! I follow Notre Dame pretty closely as well, and this reminds a lot of what Kyle Hamilton did last year with his podcast, Inside the Garage. This is such an amazing chance for the guys to get their voices out there and start to work on building a brand.

Pollard sounds off on NIL, changing landscape of college athletics in interview on Murphy & Andy

While it would suck to see ISU get relegated to a lower division wouldn't this be so fun to watch in a morbid sort of way? The new tier breaks off and all the teams pat themselves on the back for how amazing they are and tell themselves how they have finally been recognized as the blue blood...
