I had the opportunity to play golf with Johnny when I was 9 or 10 years old. I learned many new words that day and never laughed so hard in my life.

I knew his daughters and they were every bit as rough as he was. They were the kindest people, but man they could find a choice word at the drop of a hat!
I think the player's name was 'David Moss'. The other quote was after the Cyclones played Illinois at the Horizon over New Years where the last 2-3 minutes of the game was without a clock.
Sat in front of his wife at a few games at mid court. Johnny taught her well! One game against Tisdale and OU she threw something at the refs and they all turned at four of us like we did it. Everyone around us vouched for us, even though we saw her throw it.

And, regarding Johnny's pic here, it would be nice not to see that in the cave. As much as it might be a good response for 'either' side, best not to remember Johnny with any political ties. IMO.
Johnny has been my avatar for many years. He was the one that brought ISU b-ball out of the darkness.
David Moss had one of the all-time overachiever games in ISU history when he went for 15 pts 14 boards against waymon tisdale (back when Tisdale being 6'9" and athletic was something unique)!
