Yes- the article said their tv payout may be around 2.5 times their current deal. Projections before realignment was the B12 would be in that 2x to 2.5x ballpark increase too. Worst case is you lost half your value so I can’t see the deal decreasing from now. Will be I interesting to see the implications of the B10 and Sec making $100 million/team/year vs the other P5 schools making $40-50 million. Does the excess money from the B10 get funneled right into NIL?This is why most don’t think the Big 12 will fall in the next deal.
It will fall compared to the increase it was going to get with OUT included, but if the Big 12 has a similar year like last season, at least JP won’t have to cut to stay in budget

Lawyers and a cleaver AD, can figure out a way. The mechanics would need to be determined, but donors simply give their money to NIL to buy players rather than donating to the athletic department, who no longer needs the money.AD's are restricted by the NCAA in using funds for NIL deals. Since most of these are public institutions, it wouldn't be that hard to prove if it were happening either.
But to your point, what are they going to do with this money? I feel like its at the point where all these schools already have new and shiny stuff. I guess they could pay coaches and administrative more. The SEC will probably do locker room renovations every couple years now (it already seems like they are).
I would gladly be on that tail and take my orders for $100M/year.Glad to see that Iowa is the dingleberry on the tail of the B1G conference of which OSU and Michigan tell it when to wag.
B1G schools ain't going to make $100 mill a year from this.I would gladly be on that tail and take my orders for $100M/year.
Regardless of what they make, they will be on the tail taking orders.I would gladly be on that tail and take my orders for $100M/year.
Yep, this would be the smart thing to do. Since the AD no longer needs as much money, fans can funnel more money towards NIL.Lawyers and a cleaver AD, can figure out a way.
