That's a tough one since it is only sold in 12oz cans. Arenas only take the larger formats because they are dirt cheap. I'd imagine draft is a possibility at some point. -

That swarm beer was in my top three worst beers I tried in 2023, and it has zero to do with it being associated with Iowa. I’ll save the brewing jargon but it should not have passed QA/QC at all. -

No beer is meant to be drank straight from the container. It should be poured into a glass to release the aroma of the product. 80% of taste is smell, and smelling aluminum or glass will throw off the palate. -

Proceeds come directly from the initial sale of the cans/kegs to the distributor. It does not come from the bar/restaurant/store. Pricing is up to the individual merchant. $8 is a hell of a lot for a lager though and they should be ashamed for that. -

There is not a premium price for Ames Lager. It is sold to the distributor at cost and they apply their margin and then again at the retail level. -

I’m guessing West O has one rep for the entire state based out of Boji. Breweries of that size, especially in a rural area, sign with a distributor because they don’t have the money or logistical ability to cover more than one territory. Doll distributing has a large full time craft-centric... -

For everyone asking about availability and package type. Be patient with West O. The response to Ames Lager has been incredible and it isn’t a one or two step process to go from the amount they initially produced to what the demand looks like. By the time football season rolls around next fall...
