Iowa State Sucks

Most of those people have never competed in sports at the D1 level. Any response is more than the comment deserves.

Uber-cool story until you went to the bathroom with a bunch of guys :baffled5wh: You're gonna want to edit that.

Here's a story for you, was officiating a hs game a couple weeks back and the wife was in the stands watching. Some jackass was hollering all night, mostly at his son, sometimes at us, but I'm not big on acknowledging stuff like that so he was largly ignored by the players, officials & coaches.

Anyways my wife, is making small talk with the lady next to her and says "that loser never shuts up" to which the lady starts laughing and responds "yeah, that's the main reason I divorced him!"

The best part, was the guy was decked out in squakeye gear head to toe. Of course that's a common theme over here in CR-land.
 
After the Iowa-Iowa State game this year in Iowa City, we were walking home from the stadium and a Hawk fan drove by an yelled "ISU sucks!!!".
Some drunk cyclone fan like 20 feet in front of me turned around and chased after the car screaming "I WILL BURY YOU IN A FOREST". I thought it was kinda funny

A friend of mine from eastern Iowa once told me that "ISU fans generally graduated from ISU... or.... their parents went to ISU... or... a brother or sister (both)... or... somehow there was a connection to ISU. Iowa fans, he said, mostly graduated from the corner bar."

He was was an Iowa grad.

I think he was right, so why waste time arguing with them?

I am a pretty big guy so i usually dont get effed with too much. There is one Hawk fan that i would love to absolutely kill, and that is PantherHawk whom resides on the ESPN boards and completely kills the cyclone boards, talks so much Sh*t.. He was suppose to meet me at a game once and never did.. it was me and 3 of my marine buddies waiting for him.. No Show
 
haha, thats a possibility.. i told him he could bring friends along for safty, It takes me quite a bit to push me over the edge, but go over the line hitting on my wife or push me too far on the cyclones and im going to get pretty crazy on you. But usually for me its a smart remark and a smirk and a walk away. One from last year.. " Cyclones Suck" Me- " Just about as bad as those tan lines on your neck and arms fatass" Kid was in a pool with his shirt on... face got even more red after i said that and kept walking

The mental image I am getting is causing me to laugh uncontrollably. You sir are a saint.

By the way, that was an unwarranted cheap shot that's got nothing to do with the difference between Hawkeyes and Cyclones. Please don't mix your hatred of liberals with the thread topic, because there are plenty of people that don't match that description that go to school at Iowa and plenty of people that do that go to school at ISU. Trust me, I've got no love for Iowa, either, but this post goes beyond the superficialities of fandom and is a personal attack.
 
I usually respond- do you know what happens when a ISU student transfers to the University of Iowa?

It raises the IQ at both schools.

And then to add insult to injury- I add, "most Iowa fans don't get this joke".

I know exactly who you're talking about, and I agree. I've stayed away from the ESPN boards since finding CF, too many trolls like PantherHawk creeping around. Its also quite disappointing when you get the chance for that witty comeback and the individual isn't smart enough to understand.

A common problem with schmuckeye fans. They say "ISU Sucks!" and no matter what you come back with, it exceeds their sub-dog level IQ ability to understand. They end up looking at you, tilting their head and their tongue hanging out, looking quizzickly, like Lassie on Valium...
 
A few years back at the ISU - Iowa game in Ames, I left tailgating and went to meet a friend next to the Jack Trice statue. As I waited for about 5 minutes for my friends, I had 2 different groups of Iowa fans come up with the same "slam" against me.

"Only Iowa State fans would stand next to a statue"

Not just one person said this...but two completely different groups of people! I just laughed and shook my head. How do I respond to amazing insults like that??
