He has 27 points tonight in only 23 minutes and there is still 7 minutes left. He is 10-14 from the field with 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 0 turnovers. Hopefully he can keep this kind of play up.

Even though he is doing good in the NBA, we were still better off w/o him last year. I mean did you see how many TO's his first year?

:jimlad:

1 more rebound to finish off the Knicks

33 PTS 8 RBS 4 ASTS 3 STLS 0 TOs in 35 mins.

Not a bad day at the office

for the record 3 steals and 0 TOs in 33 mins

Some nights, when you're hot your hot.

He is still averaging only 4 points per game . . .

He averages 1.28 TO per game, which if he played as much as Stephen Jackson (39.8 minutes per game) he would be the league leader in Turnovers per game. . .

Same old Mikey . . .

NBA.com has him at 35 points, 8 RBS, 3 ASTS, 2 STLS, 2 TO.

The most important thing is his team won in a shootout. I don't think the scouting report called for "Stop Mike Taylor"

Let me guess... Next year Wes Johnson will lead Syracuse to the NCAA finals. Congrats to Mike tho. Hope he gets a good contract.

Yeah, Sportsline updated their final stats to:

35, 8, 3, 2 & 2 as well.

I was watching sportcenter and I hear them say "AND MIKE TAYLOR! Career Night... 35 points..." I almost fell out of my chair... I had to go to ESPN.com to believe it... don't worry... now he'll shoot EVERY time down the court and miss 3/4 of his shots but KEEP shooting... oh wait, that's Iowa State version of Mike Taylor... Let's hope he's changed.

Good for him tonight though..

Thank god we had Mike Taylor for the time he was here. He single carried us on his back for SEVERAL wins that year. The games he was bad, we would have lost anyway.

Most points scored by a rookie in their first game at Madison Square Garden since Iverson in 1996.

Congrats Mike!

I love pointless stats like this. Is it really that big of a deal that it was in Madison Square Garden and that it wasn't even the highest by a rookie ever?

It's a great game by him, don't get me wrong. I just laugh at obscure stats that really mean nothing.
