For anyone who has seen the Carroll boys play this year, I was curious to know if the Kasperbauer and Haluska kids were being recruited by any Division 1 schools. Is Blake Haluska better than his brothers Adam and Sean?

How old is he?

blake is a jr ... ive heard he is better at football than basketball ... first team all state ... i know kasperbauer had an older brother who played de for uni but not sure about this one ....

Pretty big difference in being better than Adam and being better than Sean. One is a walk on, the other was an all-american. Just saying, if he's better than Adam, that means he is an NBA caliber player.

Blake is a Junior and is considered more of a QB prospect than basketball. He's being recruited by most of the area Big XII/Big 10 schools, but doesn't have an offer yet...

How many Haluskas are there?

They grow them on trees out at Swan Lake. About every 2 or 3 yrs, one is ready to be pulled.

The Carroll Pipeline continues.

Brain David
Nick Nurse
Haluska #1
Haluska #2

Haluska is not a D-1 talent at this time, not even close. He plays inside, but does not have the height to play there in college, nor does he have the shot to play outside. Nice kid however. Strength is certainly football, good qb for high school level in Iowa.
Kasperbauer is a freshman, he did not have a brother play at UNI. He has 2 older brothers, only one played sports. He played at Simpson for a couple of years. He is pretty tough for a freshman, but it would be a guess at this point to see what kind of "ceiling" he would have as far as Iowa State. Again, great kid.

ive had the pleasure of playing against, and seeing kasperbaur play, if hes in the zone, he can be a lights out shooter and an good scorer, i played at harlan and theyve had their own little tree of bball players as of late, ala The Osborns
1.Joel, who was the starting qb at D2 school Northwest Missouri State
2. Kevin, who is currently a guard at Buena Vista University in storm lake
3. The last and probably not greatest, Zach Osborn, he is an undersized shooting guard who will be playing Jv this year and probably sitting varsity next year, if he grows, he has the ability to be a good guard with his shooting ability, but the thing is, hes like 5'6-7" last time i checked.

Harlans head coach Mitch Osborn is the father of these three and is a very good head coach, and probably the only reason they will touch state this year, and has created a winning program since he took it over.
Harlan has also had some Bissen boys who if im not mistaken all gone to Buena Vista to play basketball

so by all means, kasperbaur will be a good player, and will be a good recruit by his senior year, so be on the lookout coach mcd:jimlad:id take him over another haluska

Very great Basketball coach. Look what he did even before Harlan. His Pomeroy Palmer teams back in the day were extremely tough. They ended up winning 3 straight titles after he left, but he basically coached kids from 3rd grade up, so he had a huge hand in that.

As far as another Haluska.... Maybe in football... Please no more in basketball.
