Houston #2 at Baylor #11 11:00 AM CBS today

These calls suck cuz that was definitely a cylinder call but it probably wouldn't have rimmed in also.

So ur just supposed to let the miss be a miss. They don't have this call in International ball for this exact reason.
It’s the one rule from European ball I wish all levels over here would adopt. There is no above the cylinder rule.

Baylor just made too many mistakes but man, that officiating (particularly on the non calls on those drives) were brutal.

Is there a reason at highest level (nba) where a guy like Wemby but more thick completely breaks the game? Agree college bball and most nba games would be fine/better. I guess Zach Edey might be the closest hypothetical player at any level right now because he’s thicker than Wemby, could he just camp and cherry pick misses? 3 seconds enough to stop it?

I'm actually happy Baylor lost. Regular season shared Big12 title really doesn't mean much. If Baylor won today they would absolutely be above ISU in Omaha if both are 3 seeds.

It is the first moment the standings are truly spreading out instead of a huge clump of 6-7 teams.

Hard to believe w today's surgical innovations that he is done. Bum deal for him and the team.

I think the timing is the problem. You can do surgery but still need time for rehab and recovery.

Yeah even if he got the surgery today, it'd be 6 weeks from now until the championship game, assuming they play in it. Idk what the normal recovery time is for something like that but it seems unlikely

It’s not as easy as you think to time the ball right and get the right deflection off the rim. And the defender is still boxing out so if you are displaced it’s a foul.

It’s just a better rule because it’s still in the flow of a game. Like yesterday’s example, the players just have to stand there and wait to see if it bounces outside of the cylinder to go get it? That goes completely against the athletic nature of the game.
