Me, too. I just made the comment because there seems to be a lot of comments about how bad our crowd is at it and it looks pretty good on tv.
I hate wearing gold but still do it. Not looking for an award for that just saying that there are probably fans at Creighton that prefer wearing a certain color and they still seemed to have worn the right color tonight.
We also had a bunch of people not wear white for the KU game… They aren’t bad fans, I just don’t get how so many other schools can pull this type of thing off and we can’t…
I actually thought the white out looked pretty good. Also the gold rules we did pretty good at if I remember right.
Its more that merch availability tends to suck for it. So a lot of people simply don't have the gold in their options and don't want to buy it for a gimmick.
Blue\White seems like an easier combination.
Blue and white are far better colors to do a stripe theme. Cardinal and gold just doesn’t work.

40 bucks for a combo of red white yellow and black ISU shirts.
Sure, but those aren't great quality shirts. I mean they do the job if you're just looking to go to a color game, but we don't have near as many good gold options as we do in cardinal/white/black. Especially so for outer wear in our cold climate.
I play along and wear the color that's necessary cause it's still pretty easy to do, just saying.
It is stupid, but I know many people (including myself) that despise wearing gold (Most of our merch is bright yellow that looks awful). I purchased a tshirt/sweatshirt for the gold rules games (More of the old school gold), but only wear it for that purpose. They don't see the light of day outside of those games.
It also doesn't help when the image saying to stripe makes it confusing (to me) whether to wear cardinal or gold (Maybe I'm stupid but do you wear cardinal in the gold background section or gold based on the text at the bottom):

providing every seat with a shirt or pom pom will help with aesthetics of a stripe out
